Godzilla USA set for round 2?

So, word on the street is that Warner Bros. want to take another stab at Godzilla after the woefullness of the 1st time.

Yadda, yadda, so we're hearing the usual "We want to take it seriously" cack again but with nothing concrete as of yet everyone still has a bitter taste in their mouth from Ferris Bueller's encounter with the lizard.

The exec producer on board is renowned Thomas Tull (Dark Knight, 300, The Hangover, Watchmen, the new Clash Of The Titans) and he's full on for "taking it seriously".  I suppose that's not a bad thing, really, just keep the original director Roland Emmerich the fuck away.

2012 is eyed up a release in cinemas..............you know, before we all die in December of that year if ya believe that shit.

Here's the teaser trailer of a scene that never made it into the final cut.  The T-Rex skeleton was an obvious stab at Jurassic Park in terms of them having a bigger, meaner monster.  The short sequence was quite a spicy meatball in terms of cost but did the job in getting people interested in a cewl monster flick....................little did they know, eh?
