Clash Of The Titans

Another remake? "Meh" I hear ya say? Well, you could be right by next month but for now all we got to go on is the latest trailer for Clash Of The Titans.

From IMDB:
In Clash of the Titans, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on Earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

I remember seeing the original as a kid and loving the greek mythical oddness to it. The stopmotion creatures, the tomato sauce-thick blood, and the "flying" horse Pegasus.

But as soon as I heard they were remaking this it just felt like another remake stick to beat the dead horse with. However, as stories came out we learned that, well shit, they want to take this one seriously and actually have a coherent film. Check out the latest trailer:

Not too shabby, seems like it'll be a good popcorn flick. Liam Neeson has one hell of a beard on him, he could chop logs with that thing! The main actor, Aussie Sam Worthington, has had some catapult into Hollywood in the past year with Avatar & Terminator Salvation leads already under his belt. Not bad for someone who was yer average TV bloke to leading multi-million dollar films practically overnight!

That big fucker at the end is known as The Kraken, he's had a bit of a face-lift as you can see:

Ugly fucker in '81

Ugly fucker in...........eh..........'10?
